Fawn Nekton

I grew up in Occidental and have worked at Gene Gaffney Insurance for more than 20 years. At the end of 2010 I bought the agency from my father, Gene Gaffney, and I am looking forward to building upon the success he established and continuing the great service our customers have come to expect. I am also excited about the innovative web and marketing initiatives we are launching at GGIS and the introduction of several new and comprehensive product offerings. I am an active member in the community and serve on many local commissions including the Occidental Community Council and the Harmony/Salmon Creek school board. I enjoy camping, skiing, running, yoga, working out and traveling. I am happily married and have a beautiful young daughter.

Gene Gaffney

I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Occidental in 1974 with Mary (my wife) and our children. After selling life insurance for a number of years I decided to open my own office in 1978. Based in Occidental, the agency was a fully fledged insurance brokerage, selling all lines, including auto, home and business insurance to a quickly growing number of customers. Over the years we have branched out to include non-profit, farm and other specialized coverage and have remained a staple in the community by supporting and sponsoring many local organizations and causes.

In 2010 I stepped away from day-to-day duties and handed the reigns over to my daughter, Fawn, who will continue the tradition so many worked hard to build. Mary and I are still here and loving life in beautiful Occidental and are in processes of building a house on the beach in Panama. I am lucky to have all my grown children living near. As my insurance career winds down, I look forward to more time to garden, travel, do water sports and enjoy good times with family and friends.

Angela Gianni

I have been in the insurance industry since 1997. I began my journey with another local, family run agency as a personal lines account assistant. I obtained my property & casualty license a couple years later and became an account manager. In 2004 I moved on to a large agency as a certificates clerk and soon realized I loved the commercial side of the insurance industry.

In 2006 I joined the team at Gene Gaffney Insurance as a commercial account assistant and quickly moved on to become an account manager. As a native of Sonoma County and a resident of West County, I take a particular joy in serving the needs of local business owners and non-profit groups.

Kirsten Edwards

I grew up in Northern California and moved to Camp Meeker in 2007 with my husband. I joined Gene Gaffney Insurance Services in 2006. We love Sonoma County and enjoy all of the wonderful sites, experiences and people.

David Doffing

I grew up in the East Bay and moved to Occidental in 2009 with my wife (a native of Occidental) and our young son. I joined GGIS in 2010 as a personal lines producer and am responsible for writing home, flood, auto and income property insurance. I’m a dedicated family man and love watching my son discover the world around him. I look forward to helping you with your insurance needs and am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Richard McHenry

I am a Floridian by birth, a Californian by choice, and happy to be living in beautiful Sonoma County amidst the noble redwoods on the shores of the Russian River. Trained as a classical musician, I have a Master’s Degree in music performance and have performed with many San Francisco Bay area orchestras like the San Francisco Opera and Ballet as well as in music festivals in Italy and Austria. I joined the team at Gene Gaffney Insurance in 2009 and enjoy the challenges and rewards of providing our customers with the quality coverage they deserve and the excellent customer service they expect. I’m not only an employee, I’m a client!
